Sit, Stand, Walk

by Watchman Nee

This classic was written by a Chinese preacher who spent 20 years in prison for preaching the gospel. He remained faithful to the Lord and admonishes us to do the same in this short book based on Ephesians.

Sit, Walk, Stand is a simple but phenomenal principle.

SIT – our position in Christ

WALK – our life in this world

STAND – our attitude toward the enemy

Sit

Quit trying to do stuff. Rest in your position in Christ. It’s exhausting trying to accomplish all that Christ has already done for you. If you rest in Him and trust Him, you have perfect peace. Listen and wait on the Lord

Walk

Walk in a manner worthy. Ephesians clearly tells how to live and how not to. Just obey what you know and share Christ as you go. The more time you spend with the Lord, the more you will share what you’ve experienced. Feel your spirit and be filled with joy, love and discernment.

Stand

Be strong in the Lord. The devil is a roaring lion who seeks to destroy us, but God uses our trials to sanctify us. We need to stand against the enemy and our emotions.

It's easier to act like a Christian than to react like one Click To Tweet

When there is turmoil in your mind, your words will be turmoil. Trust God, He is sovereign even over our trials. He knows how long they will last and how bad they will get.

Stand firm and put on the armor of God, piece by piece. Protect your mind and thoughts. Don’t forget what God has done.
