They’re wrong about us you know.
They say we are self-righteous hypocrites. It’s not true.
While some Christians may resemble THE WALKING DEAD, I can tell you the body of Christ is alive and well. And they are proving it. I have the evidence.
DEAD OR ALIVE?
Fred Teague with THE RUSS BUS shared his experiences living as a homeless man for one month. Personally I would have chosen May instead of January. Brrrr. He and those who help him are “Jesus with skin on” to the homeless community in our area. Their faith is living and breathing and serving.

CHECK YOUR PULSE
Sometimes we wonder if one person can make a difference. We wonder if what we do even matters. It does.
- Look around.
- Look at people.
- See the need.
- Meet it, no matter how small.
- Get on board and live out your faith.
- Be the hands and feet of Jesus.
Fred told me the hardest part of living homeless was being ignored, like he wasn’t even a person. I am ashamed to admit I was nearly guilty.

HOW WILL THEY KNOW?
Christians have gotten some bad publicity recently, part of it is deserved. Jesus clearly tells us how to spot the real deal. I’ll give you a hint, they won’t know we are followers of Jesus by our righteous acts.
What matters most is how we treat others.#truechristianity #rtp Click To TweetJohn 13:35, “By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” HCSB

Freddie is standing in someone else’s shoes, feeling and seeing with his heart, he was very caring even as a young boy. People like you and Freddie are hard to come by and you both make the world a better place. God has smiled on me putting you both in my life.
Dear friend, I feel the same way about you
Such a great reminder Vickie. I think us Christ-followers can get overzealous about sharing our passion with our words, and forget the value of sharing His awesomeness though our actions–I know I’ve been guilty of this before. I am however, working daily to grow in this area. Thank you for this well-spoken reminder.
I’m looking forward to the show too. I just turned it on, and it’s fun to hear you in action.
Thank you so much! It’s funny, I haven’t even listened to it. I’m sure I’ve got that Southern drawl.
I have a dear writer/blogger friend who ministers to a church that meets under a bridge, and also to a women’s drug rehab place. The joys she experiences by bringing joys to others is such a lovely thing! Not only does she share with those in need, body/soul/spirit, but also she shares with us, who have the only True Source, for all our needs. She is such a blessing, as you are, too, Vickie. <3
That is awesome. Bless her
Thank you for being Christ’s hand and feet to all who know you.
You too!!
