After all he had seen and all he had heard, he dared to ask such a bold question.
Then Moses said,
PLEASE SHOW ME YOUR GLORY
I have been contemplating the glory of God. I am currently working on material for a women’s retreat. Unveiled will be a study of the glory of God. Last night I compiled the above phrases from scripture. Last night, before I got the call this morning.
After hurriedly packing a bag, absent any devices whatsoever to fix my hair, I drove to my hometown to join my family. During the drive, images of God’s glory were forefront in my mind.
Psalm 24 (NIV)
The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.
For he founded it on the seas and established it on the waters.
Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord?
Who may stand in his holy place?
The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol or swear by a false god.
They will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from God their Savior.
Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, God of Jacob.
Lift up you heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the KING OF GLORY may come in.
Lift up your heads, you gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the KING OF GLORY may come in.
THE LORD ALMIGHTY- HE IS THE KING OF GLORY
As my family makes funeral arrangements for my uncle, I am comforted the words of David.
Psalm 139:16, “All my days were written in Your book and planned before a single one of them began.”HCSB
I am comforted by a God who knows. He knows in advance how many days each of us will live on this earth. He knows how many hairs are on my head. He knows my thoughts and every word before I speak it. He knows what tomorrow brings because He is already there. He knows me and I know Him.
Who is this king of glory?
THE LORD ALMIGHTY
Do you know Him?
Will you ask Him to show you His glory?
So beautiful and comforting. I will remember your family in prayer as you go through the days ahead… God bless your sweet memories…
Thank you much
Very beautifully written! I’m so thankful that He was with me in my yesterdays, I’ve felt Him today, and I’m positive He has my tomorrow planned and will walk with me every step! Rejoicing that I know who He is!
Well said. Thank you
